Olympiad Achievement- 2A016-17
Young astronomy students from 48 different countries of the world recently participated in the International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics. It was an opportunity for pre-university students from various countries to meet and make friends with students with similar interest from all part of the world. In this IOAA, 221 participants from 48 teams came and spent 10 days together competing and interacting with each other, from 9 to 19 December 2016.
The first IOAA was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in November/December 2007. The subsequent annual meetings were held during August/September or October in Indonesia (2008), Iran (2009), China (2010), Poland (2011), Brazil (2012), Greece (2013), and then Romania in 2014.
Yash Mehta received an international silver medal for his performance at the Olympiad.
This year, the Indian contingent for the Olympiads had 10 students from all places like Andra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra (2), Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Team India ranked second among all countries in the final medal tally, and separately ranked seventh in the team task. In total, the team received 8 medals and 4 other prizes.
The world rank one team was Russia, and world rank three was Iran. Other teams in top 10 were USA, China, UK, Romania, Slovakia, Estonia and Czech Republic
Teacher's Day Celebration
An Innovative idea, a new concept of parents becoming teachers on the occasion of teacher’s day celebration. A realization of the efforts of teacher, the joy of gaining love from children and members is what they took home as gifts. We are proud to be a family with such cooperative parents and encouraging students.
Achievement for the students
One more achievement for the students of Vedant International. The Girls of 8thA and 8thB won the second prize in Group singing competition held by Bharat Vikas parishad. Keep it up! Congratulation, And series of claps for Saloni Nikam and Aman shukla of 12th who made our school proud by winning the inter school drawing competition held at Tulip international. On 30th July 2016. Dance away the sorrows….. Dance all along. All the best for the students who are selected in inter school dance competition finale to be held at confection centre, Drive in A ‘Bad on 15th Aug 2016. |

Green School
Plays an important role in creating a well learning for students. We as a green school practice the ways to conserve our environment. To give a positive impact to this various activities like different colour dustbin, waste, harvesting systems, sprinklers, well ventilated class rooms etc have been applied for and by our students in VIS.
We also encourage the students by celebrating various environment days to make them grow trees in the garden area, helping them to learn to make compost pits.
We also had organized the activity to create awareness about the environment. Our school has earned the of silver category certificate for being a green school by IGBC (Indian green Building Certificate)
